Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to a apply for the position of teacher assistant that I saw advertised on The University of Cumberland website.

I am interested in this job because I am young and I want to learn from other university teachers, because in the future I want to be a teacher there. I can't think of anything better than helping students.

I have a degree in Political Science, I just finished it nine months ago. I make sure that I keep up to date on the latest teaching techniques. I work well under pressure, I have a great memory and patience and I can improvise with ease.

I worked with Pablo Iglesias, working as his secretary for six months in Madrid. There, I learnt  to be organised and I improved my leadership and communication skills. My main duties were to answer his calls and to organise travel for his staff.

I believe I can be a valuable addition to the Universtity of  Cumberland and look forward to hearing from you.
