MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING

One of the most memorable wedding ceremonies that I attended and enjoyed was my friend Pablo's on a picturesque island in the Pacific Ocean. I have  known Pablo since I met him at secondary school in Mugardos. It was in the year 2036 and I was 35 years old at that time. I can recall that it was mid-summer and I took 6 days leave from my job to attend.

I was at the wedding from the very beginning: even when the bride left her parents-in-law's house. The whole island was decorated, and the celebration was  five days long, lots of relatives and neighbours came to congratulate the bride and they brought some gifts for her as well. The host prepared several delicious dishes and sweets and everyone wore new  dresses. Everyone enjoyed, sang and danced, the whole event was recorded and everyone cried when the bride left the house in Texas. The bride looked  very pretty. She was black hair with very dark eyes and an incredible intelligence. I talked with her for a moment and she looked very happy.
Yes that was a typical weddingand there were lots of people.
Oh and at the ending of the night I met an old friend that I hadn't seen since I was at the university.
I will never forget that ceremony!

My CHristmas Holidays BY NOE CALVO

     Hi my dear lover Miguel,
I don't care about your holidays, I want to explain you mine because I'm very sad, cause this Christmas was terrible to me.
First of all, I woke up with my hair curly again like Krusty the Clown, I tried to get it straight again, but I couldn't and then I screamed. Suddenly I woke up in the real life because it was a terrible nightmare, the worst ever. On December 22th I watched the whole program of the lottery in the theatre, I had to bear for 4 hours children singing "Mil euroooooooos" like if they were castrated and I just won a participation of 1 euro of a ticket, so I won 5 euros, but the ticket for the theatre costed 6 euros, so I lost 1 of the theatre and another one of the coffe. At least I climbed on television because I thought I had won but I didn't checked well the ticket, so I was wrong.
But It was not the worst, on Christmas Eve I was walking with a box full of marzipanes and a gipsy vagabond stole it. I tried to get it back, but he called his 50.000 cousins and they all appeared with razor, and they tried to puncture me with syringe. On New Year's Eve I didn have a dress, so I went out dressed with a potato bag. The gipsy family saw me and they felt sorry, so they gave me back the marzipanes
On January 5th I went to have a shower but the curtain shower was not there. Later I warched the the Three Wise Man Ride in Madrid and I saw Melchor with my shower curtain because Manuela Carmena stole it from my house. I will never forgive you, Manuela Carmena.
Goodbye,
Noe

How I spent the Christmas Holidays...

Hi Pablo ! I'm glad to hear news about you. These Christmas Holidays were the best holidays that I've never had. I finished the school one week after Christmas Eve, and on the 22 th of December I took the train to Chaves (Portugal) to spend the Christmas Eve with my dad's family. I stayed in Portugal for six days. In Portugal I spent my time  learning portuguese, I also visited Lisboa and the tower of Belém. On the 30 th of December I returned to my town, I wanted spent the last day of the year with my near family and my friends. The New Year's began with a terrible headache because on the previous night I had an incredible party.

My Christmas Holidays

Dear Alberto,

It was great to hear from you. I hope you and your family are well and that you had a nice Christmas. My holidays were great. But, they weren't perfect. You know that I love travelling, but I couldn't do it because I spent all my savings in organising the New Year's Eve. (I bougth new clothes, the ticket for the pub, the food...). I spent my holidays going out with my friends and my boyfriend, and also sleepping.

Christmas Day was a normal day for me. I had lunch with my family and then I went out for a walk with my dogs and my uncle. I'm very pleased with the presents of my boyfriend and my family.

On New Year's Eve evening, I went to the hairdressing for the night. Then, my family came to my house and we watched the New Year's Eve celebrations on TV before bringing in the bells. Then, I wore my sequins dress, my high heels, I put my make up and I went to the pub with my boyfriend and our friends to celebrate the New Year. We danced until the early hours! At eight o'clock we went to drink some chocolate with churros. I was exausted! Then, I went to my bed and I was sleepping for two days.

I spent my last day of holidays in the sales. I went to Marineda City, in A Coruña, and I spent a lot of money on clothes and jewelry. I had fun because I love going shopping!

And, that is all about my holidays. They were great. I hope that you tell me about your holidays. I see you back to school.

Speak to you soon.

Hugs and kisses

Cris
Hi Wendy,

How is everything going? I hope you and your family are well. I heard that you had a nice Christmas, unfortunately, my Christmas was awful. I thought that my marks from high school were not bad, but when I arrived home... my parents were dissapointed and so furious. They shouted at me a lot and then they told me that I won't get christmas presents. The next day, they had a serious conversation with me about my studies and they forgave me.

On Christmas Eve, I was so excited to see all my family, especially my aunt because I hadn't seen her for ages, but that evening, my father told me that she couldn't come here because of her job. I cried for hours. The Christmas dinner wasn't the same without some family.

Here, we don't celebrate Boxing day like you, so I only studied.

Over the next few days I was a little nervous because I didn't have a dress for New Year's Day, but finally, with a miracle, I found one.

On New Year's Eve, I went shopping with my mother for our celebration that night, and the rest of the day, I helped her to cook the dinner.
After eating the grapes, I went out with my friends. Everything was good until I saw my boyfriend kissing another girl... I was so angry and I shouted at him a lot, but finally I decided to wait until the next day to talk with him and end our relationship. I spent the rest of the night dancing with my friends.

They weren't good holidays but I learnt some important things.

See you soon

Adriana

Christmas Holidays

         Hi Martín,
It was great to hear from you after all this time. My holidays were great. I went with my family to the town where  we used to live, Viveiro. I was happy to see my old friends again and I also met some new people. The journey was a little bit boring but in  the end it doesn't matter because I really enjoyed seeing all my family again including some of the family who live further away like in Madrid or Seville. I got some presents the same as  last year. I was in Viveiro until the afternoon of New Year's Eve . On Boxing Day we spent all day at  home eating sweets and watching Premier League  football matches  and talking a lot. On the   6th January I received some presents and finally I went back to school.

Speak to you soon,
Brais.

Dear Susan (By Pablo)

Dear Susan:

I haven´t heard from you in ages. I´m glad you´re still alive!
First, in Mugardos we don´t have a lot of sights to see. Well, we have a castle that, hopefully, will become a hotel with spa.  Apart from sightseeing, there are a lot of other things to do. There are good restaurants to eat octopus or "raxo".
You are coming in a few weeks, so maybe we can go to Santiago de Compostela too. If you prefer going to a big shopping centre, we will go to Marineda City in A Coruña.
Well, have a safe journey! See you in a couple of weeks.

Hughs and kisses,
Pablo.

Dear Susan

Dear Susan;

I can't wait to see you. When are you coming here?
I'm very imactient. We're going to have a great time.

There are lots  of sights to see here. Ares is a small village near the sea. Here, there are lots of beautiful beaches and parks.
When you come Ares, there are some amazing places you should visit, like a park with lots of trees and a Roman bridge.

Galicia is not just a great place for sightseeing, but also a plcae where you can go for partying or shopping ... in Marineda city, the best shopping center in Spain! and you can eat in Muerde la Pasta.
You can eat a lot of octopus, the typicall dish in a other village next to Ares, called Mugardos.
It's so beautiful too.

Well... I hope you have decided to come. Don't forget to pack your umbrella Susan!! hahaha.

                                                                                      With Love, Cris.
