My Christmas Holiday BY MIGUEL PEREIRA

         Hi Brais,
It was great to hear from you. I hope you had a very good Christmas. It was my best Christmas, I slept for 12 hours every day, it was fantastic! It all started on December 21st, I went to Roquetas del Mar and I bought two lottery tickets, one for the Christmas Lottery and the other for the Child Lottery. The next day I was watching TV and the news began, the newsreader said that I had won the lottery and the prize winnings were 400.000€, it was the best new I had ever received, so I went check my ticket but I coldn't find it, ir was unbelivable, I was poor again! I tried to kill myself, but my balcony is in a first floor and I didn't die. The next I remember after jumping from the balcony was me on the hospital on December 24th at 11pm, luckily I could eat turkey.
In New Year's Eve I choked with a grape and I went back to the hospital. I could leave on January 5th, the next day I was watching Tv and I saw the news, and I won the Child Lottery, 200.000 euros I went right to get the money. Finally I won just 105.000 euros because of Hacienda. But I'm still happy! I hope you had also won something in the lottery

Hi Sara,
I was great to hear from you. It sounds like you had a fantastic Christmas with your family and your boyfriend.
My Christmas holiday was very bad because I was ill the first week or holidays, and my sister didn´t come home.
On Christmas morning I helped my mum to cook the shrimps because all my family had dinner in my house.
On New Year's Day I went to a party in Ares, I drank a lot and the next day I didn't remember anything about my night.
Definitely my New Year's Resolution is it stop drinking alcohol for good.

How I spent the Christmas Holidays!

Hi, Adan! It was great to hear from you. My Christmas holidays weren´t better than yours! In fact, I had low key holidays. The most fortunate thing was that my brother Angel, who´s doing a master in Kansas (USA ) came home for a few weeks.

He came with lot of gifts to all our family. For example, he bought an English book for me, even a T-Shirt with a jayhawk, the emblem of the KU (Kansas University). He´s working as a teacher and he brought a lot of experience and funny stories about his students. He´s teaching Spanish.

We didn´t go out during our holidays, so we stayed in Mugardos with the rest of our family. WE went to the cinema because we wanted to see the new Star Wars film. I´m glad about the gifts. Angel and I bought a new mobile phone to my mum! She was very happy. Then, my mum gave to me one drawing with a frame. Now it´s in my bedroom.

I met my friends to celebrate a birthday party . After New Year´s Day, we stayed together watching TV shows. Actually,they  were quite holidays, but I don´t complain!

There are lots of sights to see here in Ares. You can see a Roman bridge, many natural beaches, two churches, one in Ares and the other in Lubre. There are two parks. There are two places to go for a walk, one is the bird sanctuary where there are many birds.

Apart from sightseeing, there are lots of other things to do like going to a café or going to the library.

It´s great to hear from you. How are things? I´m very glad to know that you will come here!
There are some amazing places you should visit.

Apart from sightseeing you can do a lot of things. You will come in december, a great time and my favourite month.
You know that you can stay at my house, and my mum wants to see you too.

I was thinking of going to the main square in Ferrol, to see the christmas ligths, and we can also go to Coruña to try ice-skating. In Coruña, we can go to Marineda, a shopping centre, and have dinner at KFC because you don´t have this restaurant in your country.
You can help me to buy an put up christmas decorations.

Here, the weather is very cold and rainy, so don´t forget to pack a lot of winter clothes.
I can´t wait to see you.

You'll come to Ares in July. Here, there are many beaches , it's fantastic! The weather is good most of the time, but sometimes it rains.
We can go to the shopping centre in Coruña or Ferrol. What would you prefer?
We can visit The Hércules Tower and The Aquarium in Coruña and there's a natural history museum called "The Man's House" there too. What do you think?

Hi, how is everything going? I hope you and your family are well.  I know you´re coming to Galicia this weekend and let me  tell you some things you could do.

Here you can visit the Hercules Tower or the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. You can also go to the Monasterio of Santa Catalina or walk along the beautiful fields around and see the amazing views of the ocean.

If you want to go shopping you can go to the Marineda City shop centre in A Coruña and shop or have a good time there.

I hope you have a good holidays and don´t forget to pack your umbrella! This is Galicia.

There are lots of sights to see here, and you're lucky to come to Coruña in August, because it is one of the few months when you can feel warm.
Apart form sightseeing, there are lots of other things to do, for example, we could go to the Hercules' Tower, or visit the Planetarium and the Man's House, a natural history museum; and we are obviously going to go to pubs and parties, so you should come with yout batteries fully charged.
Ah! And don't forget to pack your umbrella, you never know when is going to rain here!!

Ah, Christmas Eve. It was not a big deal. Just my family , all together. I'm not a very close to her family guy.I have not so many family. Most part of them live in other city. Holydays its the only time i see them. But enough of talk about my realations with my family. Or do you wanna hear it? No,no.You don't wanna. Then, 31 December arrived finally. I not gonna lie to you. That was THE night. I have started this year with elegance and class. What did. you do in New Years Eve? Did you have a traditional family dinner? Or did you have a wild party? Did you meet some girl?Ah,don't worry.You know i am a joker.Listen,im gonna tell you.You know I am a pretty shy guy with people i don't know. But there'sthis girl.. I meet her at a party in a pub. You could know she soon...In a familiar dinner.If you know what I mean. Ha ha. I started the year with a resolution: “i will not do any New Year Resolution”, Because i never do it, never.I know you don't do it too.Or will you go to the Gym this year? Yeah,sure. You will. Come on, it another joke. I'm pretty Funny today. Anyhow, it's to much serious today. There was a guy who didn't laugh at all when i told he some of my best jokes. What a seriuos dude. In our house, this is a year like any other. Grandpa it's still joking about everything(just like me) Mom and Dad are not different. What a family of jokers. How did you year went? Hi Aida, It was great to hear from you. I hope you and your family are well and that you had a nice Christmas. My holidays were just ok but I was very sad because it was the first year that I spent without my brother. Now he lived in Queens Pak at London. I spent the 24th December in my uncle's house because I had a dinner with them. The next day was Boxing Day and I had a lot of presents from Santa Claus under my Christmas tree. I first celebrated New Year`s Eve with my family but then I met my friends to go to a party. We stayed at a friends house, played music and had drinks. We had to put on the gas fireplace because the night was very cold. I became ill and I had tonsillitis. The doctor gave me an antibiotic for ten days but I still have pain in my throat. On the Spanish day of the Three Wise Men I had a lot of presents too. I ate Christmas Cake with my parents but then I went for a lunch at my godfather's house. I played a lot with my little cousin. As you see,I've got every reason to think that my holidays were just ok. I wish you a Happy New Year! Kisses, Cintia

Hello Miguelín: I liked the email you sent me.I had a fantastic holiday.I was with my family and my cousin and I helped my dad prepare the dinner. When we finished eating, my cousin and I saw the christmas tree and grabbed the presents and opened them.Next I danced with my brothers and my parents. It was a good day . On New Year´s Eve I ate with my parents and my grandmother only, because my grandfather was in hospital.When we finished dinner the bells started and we ate the grapes. The next day I met my friends and then I visited my grandfather in hospital but my grandfather died on 4 the January this day I felt sad .On 6 of January I opened the presents and I loved all of them. TERRIBLE CHRISTMAS BY GUILLE.. HELLO, MARIO,HOW WERE YOUR HOLIDAYS AT YOUR NEW HOUSE? MINE WERE SO TERRIBLE! A FIRST WE HAD TSPENT THE CHRISTMAS DAY ON MY UNCLE'S HOUSE, WHO IS VERY BORING AND SHORT TEMPERED. FOR DINNER E MADE CHICKEN WITH PEPPER, KNOWING THAT I'M ALERGIC TO IT, SO I HAD TO EAT BREADAND THE BRITTLE FOR THE DESSERT. ON BOXING DAY I WENT TO SEVERAL SHOPS, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING I LIKE. BUT SUDDENLY SAW A BEUTIFULL BLUE MARINE LEATHER COAT WICH HAD 75%OFF AND I TRIED TO BUT OTHER GUY CATCHED IT AT THE SAME TIME AND WE STARTED TO FIGHT WITH THE BAD LUCK THAT E ROKE THE COAT AN THE BAD PERSON RUN OUT AND I HAD TO PAY IT AT THE ORIGINAL PRICE. ON NEW YEAR'S EVE I WAS A LITTLE ILL, SO I COULDN'T MEET ANYBODY AND HAD TO STAY AT HOME. AND FINALLY, TO TOP IT ALL OFF, MY BROTHER FELL ASLEEP AND COULN'T GO TO HE POST OFFICE FOR GRAABBING MY PRESENT AN WE HAD TO WAIT TO THE NEXT WEEK TO HAVE IT. YOUR FRIEND: JOSE.

How did you spend your holidays? by Pedro

Hi friend! How are you? How did you spend your holidays? I hope that you and your family had a great time this Christmas. My holidays were great. I spent my holidays with my parents, my grandparents, my uncles and my cousins. On Christmas Eve, I was with my three cousins, and we spent the day visiting my home town, Grijó, and meeting old friends. At night, all the family came to my grandparents house for dinner. We ate the 'Consoada', a typical portuguese dish made of codfish and boiled potatoes. This night, my little cousin, who is six years old was so impatient to see Santa Claus, but finally she couldn't stay up all night and she only could open the presents that he brought to her. New Year's Eve was another great day in my holidays. In the morning me and my parents went to Porto, and we visited all the city. At night, all the family went to the center of Grijó to celebrate the end of 2014. Thousands of people went there too, and all together said welcome to 2015! Well, I hope that your holidays had been great too. See you next time!

The most interesting holidays in my life

The most interesting holidays in my life Hi friend how were your holidays? I had a really good time this holidays. I visited the family and i spend time with them and with my firends too. I bought some gifts to my family and also things for me. I also had some great gifts. On christmas eve i had dinner in my grandparents home with my family and i had a great time with them. On christmas day we exchanged presents and then i went to my grandparents home to have lunch. Other great day was new year's eve. I had dinner with all my family in my house and then i went out for some drinks and i got home the next day in the morning. On new year's day i slept until the evening. On the twelft night i went out with my friends but i got home early. The next day we exchanged presents and i had lunch with my family in my house. During my holidays i also went to the sales and i bought some clothes. Other days i went out and i met some friends or i stayed at home with my family. The worst thing about christmas was the bad weather, because it was too cold and also rained some days. I've got every reason to think that my holidays were great and i hope that this year will be great too. Speak to you soon. Antón

Hi Pepe This Christmas was very good, on Boxing Day i went to a bar with my friends and we stayed there all afternoon bet on the Premier League and had a drink. Over the next few days of Christmas i stayed with my friend and with my parents. on Christmas Day my parents gave me a play station 3 game and more money on New Years Eve we had a party in Ares and i went with my friends. There were a lot of people at the party and it was one of the best parties of my life. theNext day we were very exhausted and we decided to go to Mugardos but we had missed the bus and we stayed in Ares all day. For the New Year i wished that i will pass my exams with a good marks but now my wish wont be granted.. on the Twelfth Night my parents gave me money and i bought more clothes and play station games. My Christmas was really good but was very very short. Bye.
