An email to a friend by Alba

Hi Raquel, long time no see. It's nice to hear from you again!

I know that you're looking foward to come to Oxford and to live with me. I'd love that too! But I think that it is better for you not to come to this horrible hall of residence. I hate it! It's not only that the rooms are like a cave (small and dark). But also are dirty. I live in a kind of pig's house. For me, the worst is my flatmate. She's very snobbish and boring. I can't stand her squeacky voice!

I feel that you should live with a host family. Although the rooms are small, they're much better than residence's rooms. The food is actually nice. And the shopping centre is nearby. That's a good thing for you! I know you're keen on buying clothes.

In conclusion, my advise is to run away far from this hall of residence and stay with a nice host family.

Are you nervous about the trip? Did you tell your grandfather that you have a boyfriend? I know that he will understand...

See you soon!

Alba

Christmas Holidays

         Hi Martín,
It was great to hear from you after all this time. My holidays were great. I went with my family to the town where  we used to live, Viveiro. I was happy to see my old friends again and I also met some new people. The journey was a little bit boring but in  the end it doesn't matter because I really enjoyed seeing all my family again including some of the family who live further away like in Madrid or Seville. I got some presents the same as  last year. I was in Viveiro until the afternoon of New Year's Eve . On Boxing Day we spent all day at  home eating sweets and watching Premier League  football matches  and talking a lot. On the   6th January I received some presents and finally I went back to school.

Speak to you soon,
Brais.

Dear Susan. By Alba

Dear Susan,

Hey, I haven't heard from you in ages. I'm glad you're still alive. You're going to come in two weeks, so there're some places that you should visit.

First, you should go to Hércules' Tower, it's really amazing. You can also go for a walk along the beautiful beaches in Ares. If you like animals, we can go to the Coruña Aquarium. It's really nice!

Galicia isn't just a great place for sightseeing. Apart from that, there're lots of other things to do. If you're in to fashion, I have to take you to Marineda Center, because there're a lot of incredible shops. You will love it!

I can't wait to see you,
                         Alba.

Dear Susan,

Hey, I haven't heard from you in ages. I'm glad you're still alive. How is everything going? I know you're coming in a couple of weeks, so at present I'm thinking about all the sights to see here.

There are some amazing places you should visit, like The Tower of Hercules in A Coruña or The Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. If you like food or shopping, you should go to the shopping centre Marineda.

Apart from sightseeing, there are lots of other things to do, like going shopping or walking.

Don't forget to pack your umbrella! Hugs and kisses.

Hi Laura by Aida

Hi Laura, Long time no talk. I hope you and your family are well and had a fantastic Christmas. This Chritsmas I was with my parents and my sister. On 23rd I went to Ferrol with my friends and we went shopping for the presents and we had dinner to celebrate the holidays and Chritsmas. For Chritsmas dinner I stayed at home with my sister becouse my parents went to Ferrol to buy a present for her and the dinner. But when they arrived home my mum had forgotten to buy our dinner !! So we only had prawns for dinner. My parents gave me news earrings, make up and money. For Chritmas lunch we went to my grandsparents house. My grandsparents gave me new clothes and money. On Boxing Day I stayed at home and I watched TV and played with my sister so it was a relaxing day. On New Year's Eve I had dinner at home and this time my mum had remembered to buy the dinner. After we had had dinner I met friends and we went to the disco and we danced all night. At eigth o'clock we went to a restaurant and we had breakfast : chocolate with churros. The New Year's Day I felt very tired but my mum made me go to my grandsparents house for lunch. But I think my holidays was great and very fun. I hope you send me a new letter. Speak to you soon, hugs and kisses Aida
