Christmas Holidays
Hi Martín,
It was great to hear from you after all this time. My holidays were great. I went with my family to the town where we used to live, Viveiro. I was happy to see my old friends again and I also met some new people. The journey was a little bit boring but in the end it doesn't matter because I really enjoyed seeing all my family again including some of the family who live further away like in Madrid or Seville. I got some presents the same as last year. I was in Viveiro until the afternoon of New Year's Eve . On Boxing Day we spent all day at home eating sweets and watching Premier League football matches and talking a lot. On the 6th January I received some presents and finally I went back to school.
Speak to you soon,
Brais.

An important person, by Pablo.
I think that probably my uncle was the most important person who influenced my life positively. When I was a child, he showed me how cool studying history could be. He loves the Roman Empire, and he gives to me somethings like a Roman helmet.
However, my uncle is from Cartagena, so I saw him on several ocassions, but not everyday. I got my love of literature from him. I can´t imagine my childhood without my uncle, without his talks about the past of Cartagena, the battles between Carthaginians and Romans... He helped me to grow intelectually. He helped me to find my vocation.
Important person, by Adriana
I think that my aunt, my mom´s little sister, is the best person that I´ve ever met. She is called Mili and she is like an older sister to me.
She is a student, but a very capable person in my eyes. She lives away from me now, with my grandmother, and they have money problems, so my aunt works every day as an english teacher ( and she´s only 20 years old!) at an english school after attending her lessons at university. She also plays basketball with her university team. I don´t know how she has time to do everything but she´s an example to me because at her age she has archieved a lot of things that many people can´t get, being older than her.

The person who has influenced me the most by Raquel
The person who has influenced me the most is my grandfather. His name is Ángel. He's been working all his life to give his children the best. He has never studied because he left school at twelve, but he's always telling me that I have to study, specially languagues.
My grandfather started to work at 12 in a ship. He was traveling around Europe for 6 years, without seeing his family. When he returned, he found out that his mother had died one year before and from then on, he had to help his father with his young brothers and sisters.
He influenced me the most because he has taught me lots of things.

The person who influenced my life
The personn who influenced my life the most is my dad. He is tall and he has got short black hair and brown eyes.
He was living in a house with a lot of animals when he was a child. Now he works as a fisherman on a ship. He is really fun and he always makes laught to the people that is with him.
He influenced my life because when I was a child, he tought me a lot of things. For example, when he was watching a football match I was sitting with him and he explained to me all the questions that I had about it. I learned a lot with him. Now we watch the matches together and I love it.

The person that I admire the most. Alba Brage
The person that I admire the most is my aunt Sira, because she overcame cancer.
She's very positive and strong. Whatever happens to her she always smiles and is happy. When she was ill she made a lot of jokes. When she was with my family, she didn't want anyone to be sad.
I learned a lot from her, I learned to be positive and strong. Her illness influenced me a lot, because now I want to be a doctor to save people's lifes, like the person who saved my aunt.
She's a teacher, so when I was a child she helped me whith my homework. In my family everybody talks Spanish, but with me, she talks in Galician, because she wants me to learn ir. Now I appreciate it a lot.

My Mum
Hi!
My name is Pedro, I am fifteen and I am from Portugal, but I have lived in Spain since 2002. Now, I am going to talk about a very special person to me: my mother.
Her name is Ana, she is 42 years old and she works cleaning houses and flats. She came to Spain with my father because the situation in Portugal was worse than here, and because she wanted a better future for me.
She is a very extroverted and cheerful person, and I think she influenced me to be an honest person, to take risks in my life and to never give up.
Thank you Mum!

My Grandfather
If I´m writing this it´s because I´m going to tell you about my grandfather Guillermo Gallego Abeledo.
He was born in 1935 during Franco´s dictatorship in a family which was against it. During his whole life he was influenced by leftist ideas, especially communism.
When he was 15 or 16 he joined the Institute of Marine Engeniering and some years later he became one of the greatest ship inspectors in the world. He worked for many companies, but the company which he liked most was Lloyd´s Register of Shipping, a company which he had travelled around the world with.
He was very kind, funny and well-turned out. He has influenced me because we always thought in the same way and he helped to shape my political ideas.
Finally he died in 2014.
