An email to a friend by Raquel

Hi, long time no see. It's nice to hear from you again. I hope you are well.

I heard you're going to come to the Hall of Residence to take an English course in Oxford as I'm doing at the moment. Just a word of warning: think twice. I'm not exagerating if I say this is the worst place I ever see. It's not only the rooms are dingy (dark and small), but also filthy (everything is dirty, I'd say very disgusting). Nevertheless, the worst things come at the night. That means that there are strange snoring sounds.

I believe that you should change your reservation and forget about it. Just run away and don't look back! I have found a nice place where you can live. This is a small  house with a host family, not far from school. Although rooms are small, they are all clean. What's more, you can find sports facilities nearby - I tell you that because I know  you like playing hockey.

Please, give me some news about your family. Hope to see you soon. Willl you visit me when you arrive?

Lorry Drivers on Strike

La Voz De Galicia.
Attention: letters to de editor.
Rúa Da Pedreira N30.

Dear Editor,
I'm writting because i want to draw your attention to the current strike which are the lorry drivers taking.

As I said, lorry drivers have stopped working because they don't agree with their salaries. Because of that, all the neighbouring areas feel that there is a lack of necessity items like salt, bottled water or cleaning products and it makes getting them very difficult.

Another problem is that we can't do anythingto stop it because the drivers wont change their opinion and we have to realise that they are right but if they continue with the strikes we, the people who live in Ferrolterra, wont be able to get the products we need to live.

Writting this I want to make lorry drivers understand that their wages can be unfair, but if they dont work it is unfair for all of us.

Guille.

No light in the outskirts by Delia

Dear Editor,

I live in the centre of Mugardos. Where I live there are many lights but when you leave this part of the town there aren't lights in the street.

I work in the outskirts and it is terrible to drive back home. It becomes really scary because you can't see anything except the light from the car.
It is easy to get into a car accident because you can't see the other cars on the road until they are right in front of you.

In my opinion, it's going to be good to eliminate the lamp posts of the centre of the town and put them in the outskirts.

Yours faithfully,

Delia Rodríguez

No Places to Walk your Dog in Ares. By Andrés

Dear Editor,
I live in the middle of Ares. I have a dog, but there isn´t a park to walk my dog.
I don´t like to walk my dog in the street because there are a lot of peope and cars and is very dangerous because the streets are really narrow.
I think that you could create a park to walk the dogs or reserve some of the areas in the pine forest justo to be used by pets and their owners.
Yours faithfully, Andrés Nóvoa
