Aplication letter, by Adriana

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am writing to apply for the position of a teacher assistant at the University of Cumberland, that I saw advertised on the university website.

I love to teach and learn so I think that it would be the perfect way to improve these abilities. I love History in general and this job would be a dream come true.
I can´t think of anything better than sharing my knowledge.

I´m very hard-working, I can write quickly and I have a degree in History, so I know it very well. I make sure that I keep up to date on the latest news and releases about this. I have a great memory and I work well under pressure.

My work with the University of California improved my inteligence and my ability to memorise things.
My main duties were organising meetings, teaching some subjects like European History or American History, writing exams and correcting homework ... This period of my life gave me the opportunity to apply my studies and enjoy myself doing what I like.

I believe I would be a valuable addition to the University of Cumberland and look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Adriana

Job Application

Hey Sara,

I hope you´re well. So, there´s something I wanted to pick your brain about.

I´m thinking of applying for a position as a shop assistant. You know how much I love clothes so I thought it would be ideal for me, because I´ve always dreamt of sharing my passion with other fashion lovers.

You know I´m outgoing, enthusiastic and am really into fashion work. Everybody knows that I´m very talkative and I can think on my feet. I know, I know, I´m the laziest  person in the world, and maybe the clients won´t like me, but my future boss shouldn´t know that.

Those two years that I worked for Pull and Bear have  made me very confident and after that experience I have better interpersonal skills.

Working for Pull and Bear was hell at the time but I can´t deny that I got hands on experience of the fashion industry.

Let me know what you think. Don´t hold back, I want the truth!

Catch you later.

Eli and Noe

Hey Mercedes:

I hope you're well. So, there's something I wanted to pick your brain about.

I'm thinking of applying for a position as an English teacher in Los Angeles. You know how much I love this language so I think it would be ideal for me.
You know I'm outgoing, enthusiastic and am really into English. Everybody knows my memory is legendary.
I'm a very disorgainsed person but what they don't know won't hurt them.

I worked for Fragas do Eume High School for three years. I'm not afraid to face a class of High School students. There were more than 20 students per class when I worked there.

What's your opinion?

Let me know what you think. Don't hold back, I want the truth!

See you soon,

Susana.

Application letter (Formal) - Pablo Rañales

Dear Sir/Madam,

I´m writing to apply for the position of teaching assistant at the University of Cumberland that I saw advertised on your website.

Since I was a child I have loved Spanish literature so this job would be a dream come true. I can´t think of anything better than being able to improve my knowledge about Spanish literature and share my passion with the students to increase their interests.

I´m enthusiastic and I have  good communication skills, so I teach complicated concepts as much as I can. I have a great memory and I can improvise. I work well under pressure and can adapt to new situations easily, taking initiative when necesary.

My work with the students at the Oxford High School improved my leadership and communication skills. Apart from that, I learned that the teacher is the intermediary between the student and the information. My main duties were teaching the importance of literature in Spanish society, fighting against the students´ hatred of books and showing them what Spanish culture is really like.

My period of work experience with Oxford High School was invaluable as it gave me the opportunity to grow intelectually and personally, I also learned different ways to teach literature.

I believe I would be a valuable addition to Oxford High School and look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Pablo Rañales.
